You know how some people always take everything literally so shit always flies over their head? we generally call them autists, this is listed as a symptom when you look the condition up.
but whats the word for someone who does the opposite? i have a really annoying family member who always assumes you mean something other than you say, that you are being sarcastic or playing games.
i could say to him in a perfectly even tone "you want a glass of water?" and he would respond "nah bro i dont drink."
as you can guess, the simplest conversations quickly get annoying. this guy doesnt drink or do drugs so i wondered for the longest time what the fucks up with him, he's weird as hell.

I would 100% engage in that shit with an equal level of absurdity.
If you can't talk to someone like that it's probably because you're uncreative, and non-literal answers tend to stump and confuse you.
