On a different note. Ever played Company of Heroes? I modded it so the Waffen SS and Wehrmacht had the German voice acting pack. Pretty immersive. Especially with unit proximity and shit. So you hear your troops chatter on teh radio if you are looking at a part of the map where they aren't. And they all yell and there's lots of commotion when a firefight is happening.

I heard of COH but i dont do much rts these days or gaming in general. there was this funny mod for starcraft back in the day where terrans would answer with "heil hitla!" and the protoss would speak hebrew or something. it sounds like the same author.

The Russians conquered a good chunk of the caucuses mountains, which has muslims. When the soviet union collapsed some of these nations gained independence, and some stayed a part of Russia.
Stalin did actually send them to Siberia at some point, but kruschev let them come back some years later.

Stalin displaced entire republics within the CCCP. I was looking at some numbers the other day, there was one episode where with the the stroke of his pen he moved like 17 million people from one place to another. And i had to do a double take because coincidentally there's 17 million people living in my country. So i figured, the equivalent would be to empty my entire country and put all the people somewhere else. The sheer fucking scale of it dawned on me then.

why conquer them? strategic area or what? if it was me i would just leave the rats be, wouldnt wanna be responsible for them.
