Scam the banks
-
2021-01-10 at 1:56 AM UTCI'll put it in very short terms, so post if you have any questions.
I used to get fraudulent money sent to numerous bank accounts of mine and others, all went in and there was no sign of the bank being shut or the other person being refunded. Up until 2017 ish, this worked daily. Then all of a sudden my bank that I received the money to was getting blocked, I thought it was odd but the other person has called their bank and got a refund by saying they'd sent money by accident or sent money with the promise of £6000 on return (doesn't matter what you say).
Recently I found out why, all banks have put money in a pot for anyone first time mistakenly or stupidly sending a bank transfer,

So any first time transfers are refunded. So I thought I'd try my girlfriend the other week, I sent her £4000 and then called the bank an hour later, got a refund, she had already withdrawn money, doubled up

So the banks don't block the other person's account or flag it up until one person complains, so the one person gets it from the bank and then the other complains and gets a refund. Doubles up each time. -
2021-01-10 at 4:08 AM UTCinteresting. I googled that and UK banks keep coming up. Does this work with US banks?
-
2021-01-10 at 5:18 AM UTCOnly tried it with UK banks, obviously you or one of your friends banks (depending on which way round you do it), will get blocked but I've had banks blocked for fraud for years and never been questioned. You use a diff Bank of yours each time or find two people to do it with each time.
Instant refund and the other person has always withdrawn the cash. -
2021-01-10 at 5:20 AM UTCHope that I've explained it properly but it's a big flaw in their system, so I'd do it quickly, get as many people as you can and use different banks or different people etc...work it out yourselves. Easy cash.

2021-01-10 at 9:13 AM UTCI know of a scheme where you can get more funds refunded onto a prepaid Vanilla Visa gift card than was originally loaded. The card will be locked until you send them a receipt proving the refund is legit.
My friend did this once but never did it again. It was only like $100. So not much. Its also playing with fire as the funds could easily get locked into another account.
I think I made a thread about it once. -

2021-01-10 at 12:40 PM UTCWith some Canadian banks they do a 5 ir 10 business day long investigation but it works, especially if the account sent to is in another province. Phishing scams are so elaborate now you can conceivably come up with any kind of story

I'm with RBS and you always have to tick a box upon sending to confirm you are happy to send/ reason for sending.
This won't work, at least not with them anyway.
