OP yes. I do because it allows me to stop snoring. if I lie on my back I stop breathing. I actually require a CPAP but my medical doesn't pay for it.

how is YOU laying on your stomach trouble when it helps you stop snoring and be able to breath?

anyways, I personally never lay on my stomach when going to sleep not because I'm fat but because I have a messed up back and it hurts to do it.

Interesting thing though, I will either lay on my back or on my side but I try to lay on my back more because laying on my side while initially more comfortable my temperature rises and I wake up feeling really hot while laying on my back doesn't do that.

my ex gf erica is/was chubby and would always sleep on her stomach

there is a flap that opens and closes on your airway. it sometimes becomes lose and it flaps or shuts when you're lying on your back (for some, it becomes lose or damaged with many people).

so it shuts off your airway and you stop breathing. laying on your stomach or side slightly forward can keep it open. laying on your stomach keeps it from shutting closed because its left open when you're face down. And yes, I too have a herniated L4-L5 and my back and legs hurt really bad but I've been sleeping like this for several decades now. I have a gorilla shaped slope because of this sleep behavior.
