I went about 3/8 deep when i took the exacto to myself, but it never got infected probably cuz i attemted to use peroxide to stop the coagulation. cleaned it real good.

size doesn't really matter, you can do some serious damage with a scalpel
I'm not too worried about tendon damage or shit like that because it's the back of my hand, but yeah I'll clean it up once the bleeding slows down, it's not the first time but there was a lot of blood.

not true at all.
i once twisted my ankle so badly that the skin on the inside of my ankle got torn and the hole was like half an inch and i can see the inside of my ankle and the nurse just wrap it up and told me to go home.
