Cyberpunk 2077

    Sony took it down lol.

"Sony pulls Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store after bugs complaints, offers refund. Sony has pulled “Cyberpunk 2077,” one of the most anticipated games in recent years, from its PlayStation Store after a flood of complaints and ridicule over compatibility issues and bugs from customers."

One of the complaints was that it caused the person to have an epileptic fit...Um maybe you shouldn't be playing video games if your epileptic.

virtually every big budget videogame I remember playing has a small epilepsy warning at the beginning

seems kind of redundant though considering almost any motion or strobing could potentially cause a fit depending on the individual epilept. if I were one of them I'd either avoid fast-action games (especially the kind where the setting is explicitly TURBO NEON) or play with a mouthguard

I saw a clip of the flashing lights, it was really fucking bad lol, the game was so obviously rushed which is a fucking joke because it's like a 20 hour game.

What the hell did they spend so much time working on?

Bethesda never got their shit taken down so this is pretty big.

Plus at least for me beth games were more stable on console, only ever had a few problems like my save forgetting I'd killed benny.
Had plenty of infinite loading screens on nv on pc though, but one drive has saved me before so it's alright by me.

at least with fallout even though it's a broken mess people always come back because that game is just fun as fuck.

I found a glitch on dead money at the end with the hologram barriers you are supposed to do some sneak shit with them or whatever but I just blew up the hologram generators which made it impossible to get past the barriers. I saved over all my saves so I had to noclip through a wall.

That one always fucked me up but apparently you're supposed to go back the way you came in to get out instead of sneaking by elijah

The little conversations you have with characters as they drive you from place to place are hella cinematic. Looking out the window at Night City, absorbing the sights, while you talk about shit. Tingles.

Fuys, do I need to play Cyberpunk 2076 to know what's going on or can I jump in with this one?

Besides glitches I've heard absolutely nothing passed the first week of the game lol
Even if it's a good game that's a flop after millions spent and years in development.

Tried playing a moment ago and had no motivation to move forward.

Heard the story was great, but I also heard that regarding The Witcher 3 and I got bored of that game too.
Maybe im spending too much time with the side gigs?

The big issue I had was that pacing was weird. Like... a lot of the side gigs are important or interesting story and setting wise, but the main story is very much a "ticking clock" scenario. So I run into the same feeling I get playing Fallout 4 - every time I brush up against the main story, my character is desperate and wants to do things now. We are in a hurry here. Panic. Gotta fix this shit, pronto. And then you fuck around doing side gigs for 10 hours, and it's barely mentioned. Go back to the main story and OH FUCK OH FUCK THIS IS SO BAD MY CONDITION IS GETTING WORSE! and then you do another 10 hours of side gigs with nary a peep about it. Same shit as Fallout 4: "WHERE IS MY FUCKING SON?!" *spends 3 months in game building a cool settlement and exploring abandoned factories to loot duct tape*

Devs of narrative driven open world games really need to figure out that they can't have that narrative be driven by something emotional and urgent without it quickly becoming awkward when the rest of the game's structure is taken into account. Why the fuck would V ever decide to take a break from their quest to unfuck the shit that's happening to them to go track down a bunch of taxis? Get into some bareknuckle boxing matches?

Plus Pacifica is woefully underdeveloped. The game feels really hollow in a lot of ways. I beat it with the shitty ending (even though I had other options) because I decided I was going to replay it, but only once:
    A) The bugs are a bit more smoothed over.
    B) There's more content. CD Projekt will hopefully pad the content quite a bit with free DLC like they did with The Witcher 3.

But until then I dunno if I can bring myself to replay it. Or even to just beat the game multiple times on the same save file.
