same as tide pods, ice bucket challenge, and the term 'lol'
i just find it interesting, like i said, it's outdated for most systems it would seem if i recall correctly. i don't think the guy who talked about this in defcon thought he's smarter than everyone, it was just something some of us find interesting.
microphones can also be jammed using ultrasound -
2020-12-17 at 8:12 PM UTCanother thing, this info seems to have been scrubbed from google and any other search engines. if it weren't legit they wouldn't have scrubbed it.
also, figures the resident DoD schill would chime in attempting to discredit the method -

2020-12-17 at 8:41 PM UTCI used to kick people off wifi in coffee shops and watch them go up to the counter to ask. Its pretty petty but extremely easy with aircrack and deauth.

being a script kid was fun back in the old days.
i'm almost positive one of you gremlins has info on this method. not so much interested in the method, as that's easy to test, i just want to watch the old defcon about it.I am currently working on ultrasonic frequencies (20 kHz-60 kHz). According to a news snippet I found:
The state government has also tried employing ultrasonic guns that can scare monkeys away and create van vatika or small sanctuaries for different troops. The plan to use ultrasonic guns, which cost Rs 20,000 each, was shelved after municipal officials said the ultrasonic frequencies jammed phone and internet services.
an audio amplifier plus ultrasound tone generator should do the trick. ultrasoound doesn't travel far so you'd have to amplify the fuck out of it -
