My keys have a nice rubber coating on them though and it just feels so nice and even though it is a mechanical keyboard it is somehow nice and quiet. Its like I'm typing with a silencer.

Its called a supressor, not a silencer.

I use the Logitech G915 and G903. Mostly because their low latency wireless capabilities allow me to even use my mouse/keyboard (my computer is hidden away in a closet some distance from the actual keyboard/mouse).

did you have them patched ?

there was some issue with them being hackable in the past due to some wireless bug.

I have a similar MSI combo that came with my Trident 3 and they are horribly uncomfortable.

lol let's be serious, if range was an issue you should've gone with a bluetooth set with an external antenna on the PC

latency only 'matters' to gaymers, and I've never had a noticeable delay on peripherals unless they're using raw (unprotected) 2.4ghz with extreme environmental interference.

the G915 is a really nice piece of hardware but I couldn't justify the cost. I'm using a Logitech Pro X and a Roccat Nyth

I prefer the feedback from mechanical keys

there are better low-end or oem keyboards if you don't want to spend

also I REALLY like the design of the Roccat VULCAN and like to support them as a company (they don't force gay always-online device management software and release their drivers open-source for lunix devs) - I just don't NEED a new keyboard.

no wonder you feels like your leading a pointless and aimless life.

part of being happy in life is to just get what you WANT, not need.

    gibe jn to temptation.

I did not have them patched, and was always wondering how easy it is to hack into all of these wireless things like headsets, wireless projectors, etc.

I am not sure anyone hacking these things would get anything useful, and I am not sure that the people close enough to be within range of these things have enough knowledge/willpower to hack into this for the amount of useless data that they'd get.

I did not really research too many different options to be honest. I had some random wireless keyboard and some random wireless mouse. Even with usb extenders, the basic wireless keyboard/mouse that I had were barely usable and were laggy/unreliable in general. I figured that to achieve this low latency that the manufacturer touts, they use maybe a more powerful signal or something, which would translate to being usable in my applications, where the pc is in a closet next to a safe, lots of metal mags, ammo cans, and just other shit in general that could mess with a signal.

As far as bluetooth, I decided against it when choosing a keyboard/mouse, because I was using a bluetooth headset as well. I think there was some limitation on how many things I can have on bluetooth at one time or something. I should note that the keyboard itself has a bluetooth option instead of whatever other medium the regular mode uses.

I don't much care about latency, since I don't play a lot of games, but latecny should not affect usability as was the case with the other basic wireless keyboard/mouse that I tried using at first when setting up this room. If I cared about latency for the sake of gaming, then I would not be using a projector as my main and only display.

I used to use a g613 keyboard until one of the keyes on it started sticking, then I bought the g915. I was also about to upgrade the computer/projector anyway, so I moved all the old setup out of the study and into the living room. Maybe in the next few years the bedroom will have a projector/pc setup as well, as I don't know what I would do if I upgrade again, and throwing away shit like this seems like a waste.

As far as the cost of the gear goes, I don't think that its necessarily all that expensive.

Well it has been 4 days so far and I got to say I really enjoy the keyboard and mouse.
The mouse has a special button to adjust the sensitive which makes it a breeze when playing different types of games or doing different stuff.
I am still trying to figure out the backlighting on the keyboard.
I know which buttons to press but all the options keep doing this fade in and fade out thing that kind of makes me feel a certain way.
All in all I give it a 10/10 because my step son got me it and he is a good man I tell ya what.

Check to see if you need to install some additional software to fully control the lighting effects on the keybaord. On mine, I can only control the brightness on the actually keyboard, everything else needs to be adjusted from the companion software.
