People author their thoughts like people see with their eyes. You don't see your sight, you just see. The mechanics of eyesight don't break down to making a television for an internal witness. In the same way the mechanics of our free will are not going to be made up of free will. Of course it will be made up of non free parts, just like how consciousness is created as the result of non conscious processing, or visual processing is created from non visual processing. Being able to identify some pattern at a choice point doesn't make it not free will, it just means you found out what the will correlates to. Just like how knowing the material composition of a dollar in terms of its atoms doesn't stop it from being a dollar.

one day I woke up on the west coast following the greatful dead tour, I learned I was in Washington state, I was a glass pipe maker.
anyways I went to the local collage to hang out and swing some pipes,, someone asked me who I apprenticed under to become a pipe maker,, my response was well I'm no mans nigger I learned on my own,, I got escorted off the collage property for being politically incorrect.
it was my first experience with politically correctness.
it really pissed me off as i knew this was an attack on my freedom of speech and I was outnumbered so a fight was only gonna lead me to the clink so I complied and left Washington with an attitude.
several years later i was living in Indiana and one day I woke up turned on the internet and saw an article about a man getting accused of mishandling a woman many years in the past,, I then saw that he lost his job his following and his good name and future opportunity's were no longer an option as he was cancel cultured long before his day in court,, he was guilty before proved innocent.
I knew this was an attack on our civil liberty's and the constitution, I was kinda pissed off but knowing I was outnumbered I kept my mouth shut for the most part and tried to blend in with the lost souls of our country so I could be unnoticed and unmolested by this new fashion of defamation of caricature taking over my free country.
many years later I was minding my business, keeping my mouth shut and one day I woke up and learned we had a real man running for president, a non politician out to quell the corruption a hundred years of corrupt politicians had created.
I knew he would win, I didnt know how bad this country had become cuz after cancel culture and PC and mee too as I had tuned out this shit cuz it was wrong and it was never gonna change.
well me NIGGERS its about to change cuz my man TRUMP don't play like a lefty loser, he is a god lovin American and he believes in the constitution, freedom of speech and Innocent until proven guilty.
now I have hope in my country again.
