That's why it's rather disingenuous to point to numbers of previous convictions as evidence there's no wide-scale fraud -
1. it's very difficult to investigate, especially without close federal and state co-operation, which, lol. Especially over the last 4 years.
2. Many people do not want to investigate it - partisan accusations aside, the US talks itself up as the 'gold standard' of democracy, going so far as to violently export it to other countries. Finding evidence of widespread voter fraud would (further) delegitimise the system in the eyes of the rest of the world and 'damage our prestige' or however foreign policy faggots would phrase it. -
