Ive gone 5 days without taking my hydrocodone meds. Ive gone in spurts like this before but am really trying to quit these. They help with my back pain but suck the fuckin life and motivation out of me unless i continuously take them. Anyone else ever quit opioids?

Last time I was in hospital the nurse said;
do you want any pain meds, you've been prescribed...quote.."The good stuff"...
I said no, I also found it a little disturbing that said nurse called it "the good stuff".

I've never taken hydrocodone but I've heard they are weak. Good luck coming off. Maybe try the tylonal 1's with codeine, that should be enough to kick the habit

Yes, I quit after two years of use, I had an abscess on my spinal chord.
I did it extremely slow, cutting my dose by 1/4 a month until I was off. No withdrawals, no “herky jerkies”!
I also just completely quit gabapentin the same way.
I’m doing that now with a benzo I’ve been prescribed for quite some time. I am doing it slower than the others because of the possibilities of adverse side affects.
I’m sick of having meds thrown at me.

why were you on benzos lol
I have only abused heroin and fentanyl but not for long periods of time so i only got sick for a few days. i don't know how people get addicted to a drug that costs like $400 a gram but they probably all just do cheap street opiates and buy small amounts
amphetamine addiction is much more affordable.

you should try mixing it with alcohol while you still have the chance, not a lot but a beer or a glass of wine and a klonopin feels damn amazing. It's like going on vacation for your brain

I wouldnt mind getting 1500 to party this winter,, I ate an oxi cotten this am cuz I got a lot of work to do today getting ready for snow tonight and my back is killin me from splitting and tossing wood for two days

I have been on oxycodone, kicked it cold turkey when my useless sac of shit doc stopped the flow, i find benzos harder to kick.
just listen to your body and do what you think is best for you and balance it with the advice of your doc. know there is never a precise tapering plan thats just simply gonna work in a few months because you expect it to. biology is so confusing and unpredictable that things sometimes just happen, or dont, for whatever reason.
