2020-10-23 at 6:39 AM UTCThere are so many places where you can do that.
You can actually officially homestead in northern BC. That means you can essentially plot a flag in the ground and declare that land your legally owned property.
There are some caveats, though, like having to physically occupy the property 6 months out of the year, or something like that.
But prepare for ridiculously cold weather and the inconvenience of having to drive for hours just to grab basic essentials. -

I need to do some research on homesteading - it sounds interesting but I haven't looked into it properly.
Holy shit that's crazy.
Northern BC is pretty sparsely populated.
Don't reveal too much if you don't want to, but I'll say the set I rep... Lower mainland born and raised.
I've always lived, worked in, or gone to school in, Vancouver and surrounding towns.
I've never been north of Kelowna as far as I can recollect, though. -

I only really ended up in Kelowna when I was relocated for work a couple years back.
It was an awesome experience though because it's an absolutely beautiful region.
I may have actually been slightly higher north when I was a kid. We used to go camping a lot, and these trips would sometimes take many hours, sometimes even an entire day.
I know I've been to Lilluette (sp?). It might be more north than Kelowna.
Prince George tho, that's north as fuck. Can't say I've been. -

Explain to me how it's even remotely interesting/notable.

Maybe you don't have the consciousness to actually appreciate it -
