Nothing wrong with neutrality. And trade will probably happen between the Atlantic regardless of what there political landscape or structure they live under.

I didn't see any Americans crying about that on 9/11 when we recieved military aid from NATO for 13 years.
NATO is a force for good. Trump cries about how much we give them, while refusing to acknowledge the goddamn BUDGET which is the reason other nations don't pay 2%. A lot of nations have renegotiated their terms as well so they can pay something more befitting of their country.
NATO is a force for world peace. That benefits us all -

it was supposed to be a counterpoint to the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact, neither of which (nor a similar alliance) exists today. The only reason it's still around is because it's a cash cow for military contractors and career politicians -

Afghanistan should have been planned as a smash n grab punitive campaign ala the British and Benin. 13 years and with NATO, and 7ish more alone.
And yet the Taliban are still there, which tbh I dunno why we started fighting in the first place. Was gaddafi a NATO op? Highest hdi in North Africa to open air slave markets. Force for good indeed. -

I got no ties to Eurasia. Canada and the US would be just fine and secure af without involving ourselves in their conflicts. Don't need to tie our hands with alliances and guarantees, opportunities will still come up, and we'd have a more flexible stance.
Example: I like Hitler cuz he killed so many white people. -
