Can you explain to me why you think photos of Joe Biden's son in compromising positions are of public concern? Like if it was Joe Biden himself, sure. Don't want to elect a crackhead. The fact that his son - who is not running for office at the moment - struggled with substance abuse issues at one point... does not seem particularly relevant. It's the kind of thing I'd expect TMZ or some other tabloid to run though, and it was the New York Post (a complete rag) so I guess that checks out. Aside from the profit incentive, the only other reason to publish those pictures was to damage Joe Biden's credibility (by mere association, and with zero regard for the collateral damage they were causing Hunter). If that's not choosing cruelty I don't know what is.

Tbh, this is a good thing.

More main stream media periodicals should openly announce any inherent bias.

It will facilitate debate in the future to have entirely eliminated an untrustable source.

Anytime someone cites them, you can automatically discount their source.

Sure, and laughing at his expense is choosing to be cruel to him. I don't know why Soi would have a problem with this op-ed.

I actually don't disagree; even if there is anything specifically compromising to Joe in there they could've enhancemented out the crackhead insanity - as far as I know Hunter's not running for any public office or something that requires public trust.

I imagine the idea behind it is to completely delegitimise his appointment on Burisma and to strengthen the case that Biden misused his political clout for his family's gain.

That said, the Ukraine situation is completely misrepresented by virtually everyone I've seen talk about it

Photographs of politicians smoking crack are culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant pieces of American history and should be preserved in the Smithsonian for future generations to understand the importance of drug culture in American society.

In 100 years will people even know why we cared about these pictures? It's historically relevant.

Nepotism is literally part of the local political scene in my irrelevant Canadian province. It's literally how the world works. Blood, power or money in that order are the best ways to move up
