Not a big deal, pretty much all politicians do this. Apparently twitter are deleting it though, because of course they are.
Just wondering has anyone here ever been to political events? What's your experience?
I was at Occupy Dublin in 2011, as well as some internal affairs of various Irish political parties of various affiliations, some long since disbanded, but that's about all.
Dunno what the mentality is of these people who show up to hear some politician read of a teleprompter though. Any insight?

I went to occupy Oakland to meet malice lol.
Other than that not really. Sometimes there’d be political speakers around campus when I was in college I’d pop into now or then but it was petty much just to kill time. The ones where the jedi and Palestinean student unions would get into shouting matches were entertaining

I saw Nixon speak when I was 5, at my brother’s graduation from Annapolis. A different time back then. We actually walked up to him and my parents spoke to him.
It was cool watching his helicopter land right next to the academy. He just walked out and came up on stage. Can’t say I remember the speech, but it was very exciting at the time.

I attended some political - ahem - concerts in my youth. Wasnt really my scene.
Went to a couple anti police brutality rallies after Eric Garner.
Saw Maxine Waters speak jjst because she does a bunch of,local shit.
Saw a Wang Gang rally last year.

I used to go to protests when I was young and less cynical. Got dragged to a protest on Lebanese corruption last year though. Protested when Dubya came to my city and I was high on acid and my huge pupiled face apparently made it on the news. "Prisoners Justice Day" is a hunger strike I participate in every August 10th regardless of where I am.
