I don't normally go see movies in the theater but I want to see this one it has mel gibson which has always been kind of like a hero to me when I first saw mad max as a kid and I like his other stuff like the passion of christ, lethal weapon, apocolyptioco but in this one he's playing santa clause a guy who's been down on his luck but is coming back, seems pretty powerful.
The thing is about christmas is a lot of people "celebrate" it in the cheapest way, but if you ask them anything about jesus they will probably just blow it off. I think this might be one of his best films ever and I'll definitely go see it when it comes out because I like actors/directors that are completely stupid, last movie was the richard jediels movie and it was pretty interesting because that played when I was a kid but I understand at the time what that was about.

I, without a doubt would of loved this in my youth. but it seems really depressing now. I don't think I'll watch it. but I can see the dark-humor of it being appealing to people.

I had started to go back to theaters in the past 5 years with my friend. actually even a few years before that but then all of that stopped this year.
I wanted to see The Interview with fat man Seth Rogan and James Franko. they're kind of a funny duo but thats when the NK made it go straight to free view (Netflix?) I wonder if they had insurance placed on it to get some money back. that thing looked really expensive to make. not a huge green light project but im sure it wasn't cheap.
the best experience in a theater in the past 10 years was watching Godzilla 2014 with my girlfriend on our first date and sitting in the Berkeley hills watching it and Godzilla walking exactly in the direction of we were located. it was headed for the Berkeley Lab I think. we saw it at The Shattuck theater. they serve food and you sit on leather couches. pretty bohemian like.
