Prove we’re wrong about this terrorist plot.
it's too early to 'prove' anything, but the article demonstrates that they didn't have a serious plan:
Graham was grilling FBI special agent Richard Trask about his testimony that at least 13 militia members plotted to kidnap Whitmer from her vacation home and do one of two things: either take her on a boat in the middle of Lake Michigan and leave her there, or, take her to Wisconsin and try her for treason.
Graham asked the FBI agent how the suspects planned to get Whitmer to Wisconsin.
The agent had no specific answer, beyond saying there were audio recordings of the suspects discussing a plan to take Whitmer to another state, among them Wisconsin.
Graham then asked the agent what the suspects' planned to do with Whitmer after they left her in the lake. The agent had no specific answer, beyond testifying that the accused ringleader, Adam Fox, wanted to "take her out on a boat and leave her in the middle of Lake Michigan."
and the FBI has a long history of encouraging these people and groups to commit attacks, even going so far as to provide them with fake weapons and explosives - it's entrapment by any reasonable interpretation of the law.
what's more is the 'ringleader' is not an organic fit for the group; his ideology does not line up with the others in any way, shape or form - indicating he likely infiltrated it with the intention to subvert them in one way or another.
I'm not going to bother with §m£ÂgØL's nonsense.

The article is the defense attorney’s arguments.

Yeah, I know they’ve had some fuck ups, but there’s no proof that’s what happened.

Lolz I didn't see these allegations coming. It's the FBI at fault guys, nothing to see move along.

Well yeah, that's what I said already, but from what we know so far it appears to be just another case of the FBI manipulating retards into doing stupid shit and then arresting them for it.

I'm not interested in what the defense attorneys had to say, I quoted the important part - the FBI representative could not explain key parts of the 'plan'.
What this indicates to me is that these guys were just idiots who wanted to play at being patriots, they liked the idea of 'fighting tyranny' but had no idea of what it really entailed. That's what most of these 'militias' are, basically just neighbourhood social groups that go to the range every now and again and like the image.
The fact that they 'surveilled' one of her homes doesn't quite fit, but it's possible they just parked nearby and got drunk and played spies.
