I had fresh water fish for many years, but I got tired of being nickeled and dimed to death, so I sold my las 50 gal tank about 5 years ago.
I usually had a plecostomus. My last one was about 13 inches long. I almost always had angelfish. Some bottom feeder catfish, and I’m trying to think of the name of my huge blue one. Oh and my geophagus was always cool, it sucked up gravel to get food from it, then the gravel came out his fins. I loved their little dynamic they’d have going in there.
Oh oh oh. You got it. My cichlids were cool. It was always hit or miss with their personality. I had a really docile one that got along with all the fish, so when he died, I got another one that was mean as nails. Picked on all the other fishes.

These things are a god damn trip when they come right up to the glass and look you in the eye. They have such personalities for fish
They’re so ugly though. Looks like a tumor on his head. My angelfish would follow my fingers on the tank.
it's not cool how the asians like to mass breed the fish for bigger heads because it's like a symbol of luck and they aren't supposed to be that big. I think it's neat looking though like he's wearing a rasta tams
