    I thought that they had decided to do remote ballots this year, and closed polling stations. As a matter of fact aren't you supposed to have already voted by now?

    I believe so.

    Some states have already started voting weeks ago. It’s different everywhere. Some states only allow absentee ballots that are postmarked by Election Day, which I agree with; but some other states will take absentee ballots up to 2 weeks out. That’s too long to wait around on ballots.

    Oh OK. At least they won't be saying "your ballot didn't arrive by election day, no vote for you".

    They'll probably have stories of some ballots still flowing in till this time next year, cos if you have a hundred million pieces of mail then statistically some will get lost. It'll be bad PR. In 10 years time you'll be able to joke that "I found something behind the couch, it's a 2020 ballot for Donald Trump. I hope it doesn't have any coron ... *Coof*"
