Lol. Wap is one of the most disgusting songs to be played on public radio. It's honestly a direct sign of times to come. What we consider " normal" has come insane. It's an illict song, that now all the sudden is considered . mainstream. It's super gross.

I think it's more a reflection of western culture as it currently is, rather than a harbinger for what's to come

I definitely agree with you there, growing up in the age of censorship, as a kid the parental advisory stickers were how you found the good music. It was definitely a marketing ploy. Now young girls look up to Cardi and think it's cool to emulate that behavior.
It's tragic because it focuses on sex, & ur sexual "prowl" as a way to be attractive to a guy. There isn't censorship today, because ppl are dumb. Ppl have a right to right to educate & regulate their kids. Censorship has worked for us, & in my opinion never worked against us.

I always disagreed with censorship. I was not sheltered to movies and music as a child. All of the violent, disgusting and profane movies, music and video games were always my favorite. I was taught very young that stuff was not real and I think that's part of the problem today. Girls are taught through the people they look up to that sluttiness is a proper way to attract men. If I know a woman is attracted to me because of the house I own or the car I drive (I have neither lol) then it's not the type of woman I would want to be with.
