Because if not, I don't see why on earth you think the federal government of the United States should be the ones responsible.
I don't believe the EU is currently in a suitable position to take that step but I don't disagree with the idea in principle. I wouldn't argue against the idea that America isn't ready either, but steps can certainly be taken in preparation to implement universal healthcare in the US.

Better than universal healthcare? OK buddy.
You're clearly getting mad. Why can't you make your point calmly like rabbitweed? I answered your question and asked you a question, I don't even know who Anna Spysz is. -

Originally posted by rabbitweed I don't see any evidence that a bloated federal government of 330 million people would do a good job implementing a healthcare system.
There's probably a reason no large nations have good healthcare systems.
You need the actual government involved for coordination, for setting prices, negotiating with industry, establishing the legislative frameworks, etc.
US States are just provinces. They're not actually states with the right to do their own thing. They found that out when a bunch of them tried to secede. Even today the Feds will send troops in to enforce Federal law (which is something Techno was whinging about after she was instructed to by the talking box - incredibly witless).
I think a lot of the libertarian stuff you like is in the same intellectual vein as anarchy theory (same people and all). -

But what about the other party? -

Republicans? AFAIK they aspire to repeal the ACA and have enacted no notable legislation that protects people from losing their homes in the event of non-payment of medical bills, which you posited earlier in this thread. -

No, the good guys.
Every American knows that if there are two sides one must be the good guys and one must be the bad guys.
Why don't you all just vote for the good guys? -
2020-10-04 at 11:51 AM UTCSo they both can’t be good in their own ways? Hmmmmm?

2020-10-04 at 12:07 PM UTCWhy are you so reluctant to defend your position now soy? Is it because you don't know enough about my personal life to try and attack me personally? Stop being a little bitch and tell me what republicans are doing to help brace American citizens against the onslaught of greedy profiteering healthcare workers.

2020-10-04 at 12:07 PM UTCIf "the left" to you is "people on twitter" then you are akin to people who lump all "the right" with "people from West Virginia who dont fuck outside their bloodline"
The Proud Boys are banned from twitter, thats just raising their profile. I agree you shouldn't be so uniformly hateful towards such a wide political spectrum. The language you use is so charged and victimy, it doesn't help elevate the level of discourse at all -

Just shows how powerful the two party dialectic is.
It all boils down to they are sore losers. And there's nothing worse or more petty and pathetic than a sore loser.
