    Gore is its own ambience, hikki. I mean slasher films like Halloween n Friday the 13th are basically just gorehound stuff, but theyre undeniably quintessential Halloween viewing. There should be equal mixes of at dark atmospheric mysterious movies, gore, shlocky slashers, thrillers, psychological, etc.

    You should also watch Green Room. You owe me this.

    Seent it. I thought it was decent. At the very least it accomplished the goal of getting two cuties to curl up under the covers with me. I had a wireless surround sound systemset up in my tiny room so it was extra extra spoopy jumpscarey

    You actually might like the last one I posted, Possum- if you like more slow burn atmospheric stuff

    Ok im watching Session 9 now. Ive just had bad luck with ghost hunter movies. First Paranormal Activity was the only one that did anything for me, and theyre mostly jumpscares. That one and Insidious i guess.

    I saw The Strangers in the theatre the week it opened and 40 min in you couldve heard a pin drop.
