Yep. He also exhibited symptoms and still went on FOX and the debates and other events, while not wearing a mask. He and his family ignored the mask rule at the debates.
It's really quite hilarious that there's now a wave hitting people on the right. All these people who supported the anti-mask and anti-science movement during a goddamn pandemic are the ones getting sick first? Color me fucking surprised.
I suspect it's going to spread and spread among our elected officials, and eventually get to the Democrats. Then the right will be like, "See! They got sick too! Masks don't matter." But the viral load will get them. It's not just whether you get it or not. It's how much of the virus you have in you. Most people who are asymptomatic are asymptomatic because they have a low viral load.
Also I'm really glad the RNC chairwoman got it. It's most certainly spread to more of the RNC. Hopefully a few of them die off.
Honestly this anti-mask movement is great. It's being pushed by the right, who are mostly elderly and/or living in southern states, who are more likely to be obese and have shitty healthcare due to gubernatorial legislation, and thus hit all the tickets for being MOST at risk from getting a severe case of this virus, leading to complications and potentially death.
Meanwhile the left, who are generally younger, wear masks, have better healthcare, and live in less obese states/cities where people are generally less obese anyways, they're going to be protected. If they get the virus, it will likely be asymptomatic and not severe. This is why we are seeing tremendous deaths in the south. Far worse than anything than was happening in NY or CA earlier this year. Houston has been absolutely raped lately. Wave 2 (or wave 1, part 2) will start to kick hard in the next few months as people move indoors. Prepare to lose your loved ones this Christmas.
