As a boomer myself, my mortgage rate started at over 15%.
These days you can find rates under 2 1/2%.

feminism is mostly to blame. Double the work force lowers wages. Bringing in low skilled foreign workers also significantly lowers wages offered since most foreigners and single moms are subsidized through big daddy government, they don't have any motivation to make alot of income.
