People always say they will, or say that's what they're in for when you're in jail but it's rarely, rarely ever the case. Only 1 person I know actually beat a convicted pedophile (named lester) with an axe and was sentenced to 6 years. He beat him for hanging out with him and not disclosing that he had convictions for sexual abuse before, I don't think he actually did anything to anyone he knew. Pedophilia and prison are also very intertwined, pedophiles try to avoid prison as much as they can, and inamtes who aren't sex offenders usually enjoy hurting sex offenders when incarcerated and given the chance. It's not even a devil's advocate argument. I'm not saying they deserve to get out of the DSM, but it's not up to me or you. I'm sure taking gays out of the DSM seemed preposterous in 1952, and people would have clutched their pearls at the thought just like you or I do today with the pedos.
