Not only does it ban such training and seminars in government agencies, it also bans it in any institutions that receive government funds including military contractors and federally-funded educational institutions.
It's upsetting a lot of people, but it's also energizing his base to go out and vote. I suspect that the bulk of the population support this, it's just the loudest voices that are against it.

It's obviously the wrong practice but why the fuck is the federal government deciding this? That's literally overreach. I find it hard to imagine how it could ever be a good thing but I accept that in some of the more segregated townships in the US, diversity training could be beneficial. It's a demographic issue which is something that should be decided by the county.
To take it out of federal employee hiring processes is good but it seems like something counties should decide on their own as they assess their makeup and demographics. I agree wholeheartedly with it being banned at the federal level
