The Louisville Metro Police Department is currently under a state of emergency, according to an internal memo released on Monday. Declared by Chief of Police Robert J. Schroeder, the decision comes "in anticipation" of an announcement in the Breonna Taylor case.

seems very likely they're pre-empting a not guilty verdict in the Breonna Taylor case

They should out meta them by burning down the police station before the decision is announced.

I obviously know that. I was making a joke because of #sayhername #justiceforbreonna etc etc etc flooding social media for months but now you ruined it. Also the person the warrant was to serve was incarcerated at the time. They knew Breonna was there but had previously assessed her as being no threat, which she never was. The boyfriend was also charged with defending himself and may have since been cleared idk, I didn't really follow it, it was so fucked up and depressing and tbh way worse than Jacob Blake or George Flloyd in terms of police misconduct however VIDEOS that are sharable elicits a visceral reaction that causes people to get marchy and looty

Oh I thought it'd gone to trial already, turns out they're just now coming out with charges.

Only one of the officers was charged with 'wanton endangerment'

If Indiana became its own country it would be a lot like Japan, seriously.
I doubt you understand what I mean by that though.

Her death isn't racism. It's a tragedy. Not all tragedies are crimes and not all crimes have to do with racism.
