2020-09-17 at 3:14 PM UTCAre they planning another event.
It's odd they haven't said anything about PSVR yet. -
2020-09-17 at 3:15 PM UTCWhich kinda makes sense they need a strategic move against oculus and other competitors.

I got into Yakuza Zero a few months ago. I haven't finished it but god that game is funny. There's so many amazing missions. Like the one where you buy a porn magazine for a kid, and probably more funny shit I don't remember because I was stoned as hell when I played it. -

What consoles really need to do is make AFFORDABLE and QUALITY VR. I'm not really sure why Microsoft hasn't tried to compete against Sony with this yet. Maybe they don't want another Kinect. -

God of War looks cool but I would be fine with living the rest of my life never playing it. I feel that way about a lot of games. -

Microsoft's approach to VR will likely be structuring windows for VR use then other companies will build the hmds.
This is why faceberg will fail for desktop and is focusing on mobile, because they want to be the apple/android of the next computing platform. -

The number of people that simultaneously care about VR but have a trauma induced nostalgic obsession with the PlayStation brand is very small I'd wager.
PSVR is just one of those R&D things Sony likes to do like Blu-ray and the Cell Processor, it still isn't really intended to be a competitor to PC VR tech. -

Console VR is going to be a major thing this decade.
The PS5 will be what drives the masses to VR, not oculus mobile or desktop vr.
The interesting thing will be to see where Sony will take things.
A decade from now will it be that most vr gaming will be done through PSVR and then regular computing and social through desktop and mobile.
Obviously lots of gamers will choose PC vr but just like today the majority of gamers prefer consoles. -

2020-09-17 at 3:51 PM UTCVR isn't even real gaming like an fps shooter or a tactical strategy game. It's all just quick time events babby cinematics and MUH IMMERSION AND GRAPHICS. Literally just Tech demo movies for normies that don't like actual games that take time effort and skill.
They just want an experience like a movie that is also interactive. It has almost nothing to do with the hobby of video gaming. There are no hardcore vr games because they don't have competitive controls or mechanics.
They are basically glorified point and click adventure games at this point or Wii tier motion shit -

Yakuza 0 is probably the most highly acclaimed game in the series, even if it's not my personal favourite. If you really enjoyed it but don't like the idea of getting into a series with like 8 main entries and 2 spin offs then I could definitely recommend Judgment for the PS4.
It's made by the same developers and set in one of the same locations as Yakuza 0 but it's a stand alone story with new characters. The combat is really satisfying and the humour from Yakuza 0 is there. -
2020-09-17 at 3:53 PM UTCHave you tried VR? This shit isn't a gimmick.
But yeah, PC will always win. That's why consoles need cheap VR headsets if they even want to compete. Sony has failed miserably so far. I don't even know the name of their VR shit. -
