Give us an account of your real life experiences with poltergeists/ghosts. Try to keep it serious.

When I was about 10 or 12 years old, I walked into my mother's bedroom at about 3 in the morning. She was sleeping on a king-sized, wooden-frame bed, which weighed at least 200-300 pounds. I opened the door and the bed was right there in front of me floating about three or four feet off the floor and rocking gently from side to side and too and fro, just like a boat on calm water. I went into complete shock for a moment and my entire body froze like an icicle. I literally could not even move a single muscle. After about a full 30 seconds, my muscles started to unlock and I walked forward until I was at the foot of the bed. When I got to the bed, it was still floating three to four feet off the floor and gently swaying in mid air. I reached down, feeling like I was caught in slow motion, and passed a hand under one of the legs. It passed right under, back and forth, nothing there holding the bed up. It was no mirage. It was no dream. No trick of the light. Right there I knew it was for real and my life view changed forever. There are invisible people, or creatures, or things, or whatever they are, right behind this curtain of reality we live in, and right there I knew for a positive, verified fact that they are for real.

I walked around to the side of the bed and saw my mother laying there sleeping peacefully as she gently rocked in unison with the bed, just like she was sleeping in a boat on calm water. Then I called out in a loud whisper, "Mom... Mom.... Mom...", getting louder and more urgent each time, but she didn't answer, so I reached out and grabbed her arm firmly and called her again, but she still didn't wake up. The bed continued to float and hover this entire time. Then I yelled really loud, "MOM!!" and twisted her arm a bit and pulled on her, and her eyes finally opened, and at the exact same split second her eyes opened, the bed came crashing down onto the hardwood floor all at once so hard that wisps of dust came up out of the cracks of the floorboards. Then I told her what just happened, but she didn't believe me. It really did happen, though. This is a true story.

I don't have any ghost experiences, sadly. I wish I had them. And sleep paralysis, but minus the paralysis. I need to be able to move when I see the sickest demon in front of me. I've watched too many horror movies, so I could make up the scariest looking demon with my mind.. and not being able to move would result in me having a heart attack. No thanks.

Who let the 15 year old use the internet without a guardian? Hahaha.

I did not believe in anything paranormal till this year. I have for years held a "I don't believe it till I see it" attitude. But my god did I fucking see it, oh boy did I fucking see it. Clear as fucking day. Now, for the record, I hallucinate things, I understand that anything I see is subject to scrutiny. This all started once I moved into a house with people who had told me it was haunted, I was skeptical.

Some possible hallucinations/weird happenings/things that can probably be explained

-Things moving to places they shouldn't be or couldn't be
    -lights turning on by themselves
-strange knockings and I do mean knockings
-things moving by themselves in plain sight
-weird shit in the sky that shouldn't be

Now, there is one instance that cannot be explained. I will preface it with a similar experience, which could have been explained, but I now believe to be a true phenomenon.

Instance 1- I was sitting in a truck, minding my own business. Admittedly, I was stoned. It was late at night. I was looking back at the house. There was this bug zapper that hung under the porch, big bluish white light. I was just kinda chilling out, waiting for everyone to be ready to go back to the house. Suddenly, I see lights. Maybe about 3-5 lights at a time, about a foot around, shaped like an orb, deep blue in color. They just swirled and circled around the bug zapper, I was mesmerized, I couldn't look away, i was stuck staring. I was the only one who was looking, I was the only one who saw them. I chocked it up to a hallucination, you know? I couldn't prove it was real, strange sure, but I had no way to prove it.

Instance 2- I was walking down the road with my er, baby mama. For an idea of the scene, it was a dirt road, forest all around, some cow fields in the distance, dark as fuck. It was a quiet night, beautiful weather, I was enjoying the walk. I spotted a white orb out from behind the treeline. What the fuck? I looked, nothing. Okay, that was weird. I saw it again, more this time, they were maybe only 2-4 trees behind the tree line. 3 of them were just circling around, just like the other orbs I had seen. They were jumping up about 8 feet, then going down to the ground, stuff that only a human with a fancy orb light and a really quiet pogo stick could do. It was fucking bizzare. My baby mama turned to see what I was looking at, she saw them too. What the actual fuck? For the duration of the walk, we'd keep seeing them behind us, to the side in the forest. They moved just like I had seen them on the bug zapper.

Now, I had been previously told of these orbs. But as it turns out, her father had seen orbs in the same place, and been just as mesmerized and drawn in as I was. I was never told of that till I mentioned my experience. White, blue and red orbs had been spotted (I only saw blue and white, on these two occasions). I'd chock it all up to hallucinations if my baby mama had not seen it. I just have ZERO explanation for this. I cannot for the fucking life of me figure it out. I am a skeptical person. I believe only in what I can see and prove. But this experience has led me to the belief that there is something unexplainable out there. I don't know what the fuck it is, I don't know if a ghost or poltergeist is the right word for it, but it's fucking SOMETHING and I believe it to be real.

Dude, I would totally sprint at it full speed and poke it with a stick. Maybe just throw the stick at it in case it can vaporize anything connected to/in contact with the stick. It wouldn't surprise me if they were just a type of large firefly with their luminescence augmented by fog/moisture or "swamp gas". It is rural Florida after all.

It'd get away I bet. It was behind trees, moving fairly fast. And no, there's no way it was a bug. They were huge, and also there are no fireflies in florida. I know what fog does to light, there were at times, horror movie like fogs there. Not this night. The edges on these orbs were clear as day. I know what I saw.

The closest experience I've had with a ghost.

Avid collector of bukkake porn and often use pornMD and search "bukkake" and sort the videos by newest to see if there's any new uploads.

I fell asleep and when I woke up "bukkake" was already typed.

I know I must have not remembered typing it because it's the only logical explanation, but there's still a possibility of a poltergeist.

One time when I was a kid, I walked into the garage to steal a soda. And I saw a dog walking around that didn't have a head.

And another time when I was 17 I had a dream that slimer from the ghost busters was blue instead of green. It's stuck with me for years

As a young teenager, I slept in a room which had an ancient, mottled-green cross under glass in a picture frame on the wall. The cross looked like it was from at least the 14th century, full of porous pock marks in the iron or whatever it was made from. Even the frame itself looked like it came from the days of the witch burnings. It had come with the house. In the dead of night, I would wake up in a cold sweat and my eyes would immediately be drawn to and fixed to the cross, even in the gloom of the darkened bedroom - something in me knew it was pure evil - that there was something evil which was residing inside of it. It literally radiated some kind of energy field of dread, despair and death. The last time it happened, I yelled for my mother to come to my room, and when she came, I told her I had to sleep in another room because of the cross. I explained how I kept waking up at 3am to find it "looking" at me. She said it was silly and there was nothing wrong with it, but I became more agitated and insisted she get rid of it or move me to another room. So she said, "fine!" and ripped the cross off the wall in a frustrated way and left the room with it.

When I woke up the next morning, the cross was back on the wall. It was the first thing my eyes saw when they opened. I went to it and stared through the glass at it... mesmerized. My Mom was in the kitchen. I went directly to her and demanded to know why she put the cross back. She looked at me and said it wasn't back, that she put in under a pile of garbage bags out in the street the neighbor had put out for the garbage truck. I called her a liar and we began a heated argument back and forth. Finally, I grabbed her by the arm and half-pulled her into the bedroom and switched on the light and she saw it there on the wall. Then she turned white, with her eyes wide as saucers, and she insisted again she had put it under the garbage pile after she took it off the wall that night. I grabbed the cross off the wall and went outside and threw it over the rooftops of the houses nearby, and it didn't come back after that.

^ I wonder how something evil could posses a cross though, isn't the cross like the poster boy symbol for good and holy?

On the one hand, demons (the bad guys) love to desecrate anything which has a connection to God (good guy). On the other hand, the cross is actually a false symbol of worship, which is the "double-whammy" the spooks enjoy so much. It's like a two-birds-with-one-stone thing, where they desecrate what YOU think is holy, while tricking and terrorizing you fully at the same time.

I already told my stories at sanctuary.

The one with the image of the deceased old ladies face in the screen, with other figures suggestive of jesus and some more vague image of a face, and the local news crew and crowds of onlookers that filled the neighborhood....

And that time in the graveyard with the clown/monk/grave rubber/sasquatch 'thing'

Poltergeists seem to love residing in very old houses, and they get inside items and objects that are in the house. So when people take stuff away, they are taking away more than just the object.

I tried to look up old newspaper articles online about the old lady thing, but didn't find anything. This was circa 1988 in Boardman, Ohio, so I might have to go find microfiche files in a local library 400 miles from where I live, to find any articles about this.

My experience with what I suspect may be a poltergeist was in a fairly new house as far as houses go. I don't know about POLTERGEISTS living in old homes, I think they gravitate towards where the energy that they can feed from is. If the shit I hadn't seen couldn't be explained or wasn't just... real things, I would explain but it's not worth it. The orbs are the only reason I believe there's a chance this type of thing might be real. I have personally seen things outside of the realm of what I thought to once be possible.

I don't believe in anything paranormal, however on the off chance it's not all complete bullshit i'd be pretty pleased if i died a violent death and got to haunt an undisclosed location for my troubles. I'd have loads of fun with that.

Yes, that's why I take everything with a grain of salt.

Although if you read my earlier post, the orbs weren't just spotted by me. Which is the only reason I 100% believe they were real. What they were exactly, I don't know.
