This is the pro move. I did the same thing. It's cheaper and you actually know how much you're doing, so no accidentally overdosing, only purposeful overdosing. IDK how people stayed addicted just buying gas station lottery salad. That shit is gross. Marshmallow leaf based stuff was okay, but I still prefer foils and lightbulb vapes. -

Delta-9 THC is illegal federally.
The 2018 farm bill legalized hemp and all its components while only listing a 0.3% limit in delta-9 THC.
This excludes delta8 THC which is nearly identical in effects and is just starting to hit smoke shops now. I don't mean dispensaries. This is legal in every state without explicit definition of THC. Ironically its illegal to buy online or without ID in some legal states because of this.
Then theres a crazy one. They didn't make THCa illegal. The most abundant form of THC in weed, converts to delta9 when smoked, but its not illegal. I have seen places selling 8-11% THCa "hemp" with reports that new strains will be even stronger. Legally no different than CBD. All they're doing is breeding to keep D9 THC levels low.
Been using delta 8 for like 4 months now exclusively. I live in a legal state and have a dealer, but this stuff is much cheaper and frankly a lot better. Haven't tried the high THCa stuff but I've heard good things. Its gonna be weird when they start getting to the 20s.
DEA has recently made a move by banning synthetic hemp product but they're still in a discussion period and its not clear they actually have authority to overrule the FDA. Plus their definition of synthetic was retarded and wouldn't include stuff like CBD derived D8 or shit like THCV and other new stuff thats only recently hitting the market. -
