that's a fair assessment but I thought it was funny and I enjoyed reading about it as it was a new subject to me. It's weird that his sexual proclivities are what you take issue313 with. I find his racism and cherrypicking information to fit a narrative to be rather ugly sometimes (or at least how I see it) but I genuinely like Mr. Soy and wish him nothing but the very best and hope he is happy and fulfilled and support any endeavour of his to get him there.
Just take the high road Obbe. Someone fucking trannies can't possibly bother you THAT much, that's just uncreative low hanging fruit for you to latch onto to attack him personally. Say how you really feel -

Originally posted by Obbe you're the one who compared using a hooker with using a toilet. I merely pointed out that you're not actually meant to touch the toilet with your dick.
no, i meant having your exposed skin coming into contact with a prostitute is the same has having your naked and exposed ass coming into contact with toilet seats in the public washroom.
only expensive hookers allow you to go in into them naked.
that or cambodian child prostitutes. -

He could have locked up the election had he handled this well. It’s obvious the truth won’t induce panic if handled correctly, almost every other country did it. These health officials are trained in ways to reduce panic, yet get the job done. Dr Fauci had the public’s attention and trust till trump silenced him, and now we know why. I knew it all along, how could people trust this man? I believe he has sunk himself now
I'm not talking about Trump or anyone else here, I'm asking whether as a medical professional you think it's a good idea to release current, accurate data on the virus and its impact to the public, keeping in mind that much of that data requires medical knowledge that most people do not have to interpret, and that any conclusions that come from it can change at a moment's notice.
The upside is that people can make decisions to protect themselves, the downside is that people can make decisions to protect themselves.
Even in Australia where we've had just over 100 deaths attributed to COVID we saw shortages of everyday items and panic/fighting in the streets. -

Being a kiddy diddler is not a sexual proclivity, it is a crime and a sickness. -

It's hard for me to put my emotions into words. His sexual activities don't bother me, if it were anyone else I wouldn't mention it, it's just a bit of meat to bite into, and it seems to work since he keeps bringing it up in like every thread (go back and see how he brought it up in this thread, not me). What bothers me is just his general personality and attitude towards others. You mentioned a few more thigs, racism, creating false narratives. You are right about taking the high road, but everyone has to have a little fun now and then. -

I can't recall any fighting in the streets happening in Canada. I personally would prefer honesty and proper guidance from leadership during a crisis. -

Originally posted by aldra I think it's most important to control panic in a sitaution like this, because the outbreak itself cannot be solved or controlled on the individual level; it requires a state-level, or at the very least a community-level response. While I normally would say it's important for the population to be accurately informed, in this case the individuals would largely not be able to correctly interpret the information and would lead to aggressive (and futile) attempts at self-preservation. I think that in this case, inconsistent messaging has been the biggest problem, not necessarily its 'truthfulness'.
In the US it has been bungled on every level - Trump's response has been poor but it is by no means the only factor or cause:
- The inconsistent messaging from medical authorities, initially claiming masks 'did not work' in an attempt to manipulate people into not hoarding them, then later making them mandatory severely undermines the public's trust
- Insurance exploitation has made COVID death statistics completely unreliable, to the point where people who were shot, fell down stairs or died in a vehicle collision were marked as COVID deaths because they concurrently had the virus
- Even infection rates are completely unreliable because it's been recently revealed that 90% of COVID tests have been run at an exponentially higher sensitivity than any other test - to the point where dead, deactivated viruses or even isolated genetic sequences that may or may not have even come from the virus have been triggering positives
- State (in this case, vs. federal) -level fear-mongering driving otherwise-healthy people to wait for hours in line with the sick to be tested, to the point where some areas have reported that over half of the infections were likely contracted at the hospital
