California does niether of these while Arizona takes that exact two step approach to the forseted areas.

flagstaff is high desrt forestry.
Nor Cal is a rain forest that has dried out. you literally need a machete to cut through ivy and brush. its mountaious and steep hills. rugged as fuck.
you would need an army of 20k to do this year to year.
thats just north of monterey.
if you use equipment to do it, you could hit a rock and start a spark to set it off.
it would take people and hand tools. even a rake or shovel can scrape rocks to start a spark near dried fuel. -

dude this literally is what it looked like. not my photo. they say it has to do with the layer of fog from the high smoke which enhancemented out the gray and created an entire day of a sunset. something to do with nano meters ..blues and gray gets enhancemented out leaving redish orange or warm colors.??
you could just get a white or blue card and do a white setting.set white balance to heavy center and use a white card..not lighting sets -

Becauase they haven't done it in decades. A rake or shovel will not start a fire so shut up.

When was the last time you went camping in Northern California? It's steep fucking hills and no way in hell is that bulldozer like device going to clear the brush and knock down saplings like this thing is doing. how are you going to pull that rig up a 45-60 degree ridge?
it's insane. even anything more than 18% is difficult af -

I heard they want to sink a 5megaton nuke into the Mariana Trench (Russians planned this but couldn't invent an uncrushable canister to sink the nuke)
that it would cause a massive trench quake and desimate the West Coast, possibly setting off Earthquakes up and down the coast line -
