We always have fire season here in Vancouver it gets smoked out during the summer months. But not this year. This year was among the wettest summers. We didn't even have a campfire ban this year.
With that said, the place I'm living at now almost burned to the ground in April.

The fires are being deliberately created by the government, to clear out populations and their land. And the reason the fires have decreased is not because of a wetter season, it's because the ghouls have much bigger fish to fry right now. They don't have time and resources to invest in starting fires right now.

They literally think Climate Change = when the weather doesn't suit 100%.
Not the ice caps melting and sea levels rising. That's scary and requires real world work to mitigate.
