the room was pitch dark at 8:30.
the sky was blood red fog.
its now kind of a peach color red. its fucking sureal.

Yeah me too, I was gonna go to bed before the sun came up but the clouds got really dark and the light started tripping out and it seemed like it was still night time at 8am. The clouds have been dark all day

no my alarm went off and i thought i set it at 5:30 by mistake it was pitch dark and a red glow through the blinds

We have replaced nice wood shutters some years back for white plastic shutters because the wood was too dark . so naturally the sun would still light up the room a bit through plastic. even on foggy or rainy days you got some light coming in to wake you up. this didnt happen for the first time.
we had smokey skies 3 years ago from a much worst fire from butte that destroyed the town of Paradise, Ca. looked nothing like this. this looked like bladerunner film set.
so you see glowing red on the tips of the blind and open the shade to see this out your window
i couldnt even get the real color on my camera.. im glad someone did this.
