Is it legal?
For now it is. There are some individual states which have legislation banning it. It's only legal because Federal law specified only delta-9-thc as being illegal, and the 2018 Farm Bill legalized basically everything else as 'hemp product.' It's converted from hemp derived CBD lol. There's a bunch of other 'new' tetrahydrocannabinols coming out on the market too.
Unfortunately the DEA just passed some stuff that might ban this. They're in a comment period right now. If it goes through, they'd basically be overpowering the FDA's farm bill, so nobody is sure if the ban will actually stick. The DEA has done a 180 on Crouton before so I hope this turns out the same.
As far as effects, I guarantee you could give this to someone and they wouldn't know the difference between regular THC. Besides the loss of that 'edge' it's basically the same. I've been using it for a few months. -

I think you'd have a hard time finding it in Canada anyway. On the fully legal and regulated market, it is very rare. It's only gotten popular in like spring of this year, so it's all very new stuff.
It's perfect for night time when you don't want that edge. Also when taken orally it converts to 11-hydroxy just the same as delta-9-thc, so it's very very similar. -
