This is the only part with substance. I agree that keeping China at bay is extremely important but Trump just makes symbolic gestures that hurt America and its allies. His tariffs on steel and aluminum hurt fucking CANADA more than China and his tariffs on soy beans and other chinky stuff hurt MIDWESTERNERS way more than China. No businesses left China, no Chinese gave a fuck and Xi just laughed at his ineffectiveness, and hes got a tiny chinese dick.
Standing up to China requires unilateral support from a host of nations getting on the same page whicj Trump wont do for a ton of reasons but mostly because HE SUCKS AT MAKING DEALS AND EVERY OTHER COUNTRY LAUGHS AT HIM. Nobody takes him seriously and he isnt intelligent enough to understand diplomacy, international relations or even the world economy. Pulling out of the TPP on his first day is literally when his presidency peaked, as did the effectiveness of any anti China policy.
Hes not going to get any better. He thinks tariffs are the way to fight economic wars because hes stupid and doesnt know how these things work. He pushed Iran and a ton of other smaller countries into Chinas orbit by alienating them, pulling up American influence AND made Europe laugh at him. Uncle Sniffy is at least something different. When theres a new leader, world powers talk to them and see what they can do. Trump is such a dumbass he stonewalled relations with Americas traditional allies who could aid against the yellow peril. The closest thing would be "gravely mistaken about businesses leaving China" for which you provided 0 citations for and I'm definitely 100% NOT mistaken. There have been fucking few if any businesses leaving China as a result of Turnips policies, the report I saw showed that the small portion that have left recently (as they typically do when they business grows and they need to scale and skirt regulations) went to fucking vietnam and a few to other south east asian countries.
