   I was never on Totse. I got on Zoklet sometime after highschool, but before I graduated college, between 2009 and 2010.
   
   Anyway, I'm here because I miss my old BBS that I was active on back in the day, Grendel's Lair. I don't know what happened to the community at all. I only keep in touch with one person from Grendels Lair. I joined Zoklet because GL went defunct, and then zoklet went defunct, and then life happened I guess. Grendels lair was this forum that was initially formed by a bunch of kids who played too much diablo 2.
   
   So, I guess I'm here for nostalgia, partly I'm getting old. I'm in my 30's now, married, kid career, job. Turned out to be a socially well adjusted individual despite how much time I spent on the internet back in the day.
   
   I hate social media. I hate that everyone is on the internet now, but it has no freedom of expression, like it did back in the day. I hate that for most people their digital self is a continuation of the mask that they put on when they are in public. Zoklet, and GL back in the day, used to be filled with the same sorts of discussions that you would have around a campfire. Stupid? Yeah. But honest. No one ever gets cancelled for opinions they express around a campfire.
   
   So I'm here to read other peoples opinions, and to express mine, without having to worry about people finding out that I voted or didn't vote for a particular person, or that I supported or didn't support a political figure, or that I called someone a fag back in 2002.
   The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

   Fuck I don't even remember. Do you know how to look that up? Does someone have an archive someplace? I know I would recognize it if I saw it, but I need something to job my memory.
   
   I remember this old fag who lived in Homer Alaska that I hated who used to post. I got banned for starting a flame war with him.

   Me either, just seemed like an old dude dealing with dementia or something (don't know if he had any mental issues, probably though) and the fact he smoked spice probably didn't help. He always seemed helpful to me, just one of those old "get off my lawn" kinda dudes.
