well, neither is 100 organic depending on which brand youre using. some q tips are 100 percent cotton but a lot of them arent. pure cotton is more efficient at removing the stuff you want to get rid of.
you can get a big bag of pure cotton balls at heb real cheap and stop using cigs like a ghetto nigger.
or you could basify till the pH is nine, extract with chloroform(or an easier to get less toxic solvent)and a separatory funnel, leaving the majority of crap behind, then bring the pH back down closer to 7 and you wont need a filtter.
no wonder you got a terrible infection.
edit, another reason to usr organic is in case any of it gets into your body, organic/cellulose will be dissolved eventually by your body whereas synthetic wont

What about cotton fever? I heard it's more likely to get that with balls.

Edit; actually, I got infections because I didn't use one at all. I never asked zoklet before I started and the person who shot me up the first time didn't do it

Cotton fever rarely requires medical treatment but is sometimes warranted if the high fever does not break within a few hours of the onset.
you can heat the cotton, boil it, etc, if youre worried, ive never known anyone that was hospitalized for it though.
theres also 100% cotton gauze at heb that are dirt cheap and pre-sterilized since theyre meant to be put on wounds. the medical isles are a gold mine for lots of stuff
