I haven't really set up my workstation since moving out west. Mostly because I am taking my time choosing the right furnishings. However I just order a very nice cherry finish corner desk with a hutch and comfy sharp looking cream-colored leather chair with an upholstery sytle reminiscent of a 50's tuck and roll look. Then I can set up my monitiors and variou peripherlas properly. I haven't owned a joystick in years. But maybe i'll pick up a good one (not sure what that would be these days will have to read up) and Steam this.

I like a realistic flight sim. It's too bad that most gamers can't fly that well. Otherwise their would be good mainstream populated combat flight sims with real world flight physics, no inflight repair BS, and limited ammo/fuel. The early private beta for World of Warplanes was very good in the forementioned aspect. Unfortunately War Thunder was in open beta at that time. It was semie realistic arcade flight physics with inflight repair and rearm. Becsue of this Wargaming.net was struggling to keep their beta populated so around V b.3+ they nerfed everything so the kiddies could fly without killing themselves. That is when I stopped playing. You could literally climb with any tier 10 plane, nose straight up, to the top of the map slowing down to less than 30 knts and not fall out of the sky like a brick. That's just stupid.

games are not substitute for real life.

The extra 16gb of memory fixed my stuttering problems...so plan on having 32gb if you are getting this and want it to look nice.

The only reason its in the 'news' so often lately is because kike gates is paying to have it advertised. x-plane is better and more realistic in flight performance. I can confirm that through first hand experience.

i used to play with that game (x-plane) before i actually went out for my license and the instructors commented on how well i was doing, which was the result of 'practicing' on the flight sim.

the trick to making the sim work best is using multiple computers to compartmentalize different aspects of the process. ive seen videos of people using high-end computers exclusively to manage the weather process…then a separate, smaller computer for the instruments, another computer for graphics, then another computer for the flight parameters. I've played on a cheap-ass 2010 vintage PC and a top-of-the-line paid simulator with actual yoke and controls and it was almost like two different sets of software.

    Tried Xplane, it sucked.

Too much pissing around with 3rd party addons. MS 2020 is just good to go and a world apart from anything prior. Try it.

I've got a yoke but havent dug it out yet, it's in a storage container somewhere.

kek, I just read they scooped up data from OpenStreetMap without checking levels or anything so there's a bunch of bizarre stuff in there, like a 200+ storey building in Melbourne due to a typo:

I have tons of them. But the add-ons make it more customizable. The way I look at it i can adjust the software to however I want instead of being forced into what the developer wants.

I had to get a yoke. The plane I fly has a yoke and using the joystick setup on the game was screwing me up in an actual plane.

    Shut the fuck up faggot

I've seen high-end machines with better graphics than the MS version.

Everything I've read says x-plane has more realistic flight environment…which is the entire purpose for me to use it.

Try it, and again read the comments. Obviously you can't show flight charactistics in a video. The graphical difference speaks for itself. Having used both FS2020 knocks everything else out of the sky..pun intended.

It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean etc.
