    I been looking for apartments all over and anyways I seen one on craigslist and messaged this guy about it.
    He sent me this back along with some pictures.

The house viewing sessions was concluded on Friday and I had to leave due to work and family emergencies and my wife is down with a Influenza and Pneumonia virus , but you are free to drive by to look around and get back to me if satisfied and Kindly tell me how you could take care of my house or perhaps the experience you have in renting house. Then I can get the house secured for you if you are seriously interested and also I can set up an application from here. I hope we'll be able to work something out about that.     -it is available and move in ready



    -The rent is $550/month



    -The security deposit is $550 (deposit covers all damages, refundable)



    -Lease: 4yrs/2yrs/1yr/6 months/month-month



    -Pets: pets Allowed. Cats, dogs ($100 pet deposit) (NOT per pet)



    - All Utilities except Internet, Electricity and Cable are included in the monthly rent, i am in a governmental programme that sponsors my utilities on monthly basis and pets are also allowed as long as they are not destructive.

    Now anyways when I look up the property I get this.



    Which shows it rents for $795 a month and was taken off the market a week ago.

    And if I look on another site I get all the same pictures he sent to my gmail.

    And I don't see how he was doing viewings on it when I didn't even see it until today.

    Is this a scam?

    All rent is a scam.

    But this doesn't seem like an obvious scam scam.

    Perhaps he had someone interested, and it fell through. Or not a lot of interest due to Corona.

    Be careful before turning money over.

    excessive detail as to why he can't physically show you the house is a huge red flag.

    check with the city to find out whether he actually owns the property, I'll bet he doesn't

    Done did that a couple times and not in any hurry to do that again.
    You know how hard it is to scavenge cinder blocks homeless and strung out?
    I managed to get a 10 sq foot house built tho.
    It had a tarp for a roof and ants for the floor but it was my house and I built it.
