i could rip apart the accuracy of that article without even finding references to cite.

SARS/MERS never spread geographically to the degree that wuhan bat-soup flu did so of course there are higher numbers. that isnt upholding scientific standards. that is manipulating statistical anomalies to further an agenda.
there was no need to include that statement in the tabloid-tier piece other than as unscientific rhetoric. -
