2017-03-05 at 8:12 PM UTCI remember someone posting the Bitcoin emblem on &totse and knew it was the same bitcoin talked about prior to it becoming a thing. I'm impressed by that. little duk often talked about it. It's impressive it actually challenged a 200 year old cartel which eventually became the Federal Reserves. I thought it was losing value because of the hoarding?

Lrn2econ. If it was being hoarded it would make it more scarce, more scarce means more valuable. -

Yeah, just talking to different people. I actually thought that too but it's only worth money when being circulated or it devalues do to it not being used. perhaps it fades out of popularity. the US Dollar has little to back it, outside of Petro.. so it's popularity makes it popular which makes it the most valuable.

In your expert opinion why would BTC not be trusted? -

Again.. it has to be accepted by the mass first, then in its high volume circulation it will become well trusted for its value. Bitcoin will fail if it's not circulated, so hoarding it better be short lived, if the hoarder is expecting appreciation in value.
You can only play off the inflated value game for so long or it slides. -

But who the fuck would want to use that? People looking to make anon payments wouldnt go near it. And non anons would just use normal currency. -
2017-03-06 at 12:10 AM UTCI mean the original thought was to say it was unconstitutional for a Federal Controlled monetary system.. so by creating an alt coin system that could be argued as play money but popularized on a level exceeding the feds based currency system.
The moment you bring in "anonymous users" you create suspicion and one more reason to try and regulate it by global governments.
Everything is a game in this world. There is no room in singularity for egos nor control freaks.

there have been thousands of alt-coins around for like 5 years; even the few that brought something new to the table (inbuilt mixing, path obfuscation etc) have had nowhere near the uptake as BTC so I don't see it happening anytime soon, at least until all or most BTC blocks are mined
also central bank bitcoin, lol, why bother -
