Taking an IQ test on crack
-
2017-03-05 at 12:37 AM UTCi thought of a fucking cool experiment
have a control group then have different groups on different drugs take the same battery of subtests
and compare the differences
they do that already actually
but mostly just with memory and processing speed n shit
especially for "cognitive enhancers"
but i mean different psychedelics vs opiods vs stims etc and see how it improves or deteriorates different areas of functioning like visual or verbal vocab patterns etc -

lol i know its been done but not this way
test has: Vocab, Analogies, Patterns, Jigsaws, Block Design, Arithmetic, Coding, Memory, etc
Group A: Control
Group B: Antipsychotics
Group C: Antidepressants
Group D: Mood stabilizers
Group E: Opiods
Group F: Dissociatives
Group G: Stimulants
Group H: Psychedelics
Group I: Cannabinods
(etc)
etc. and there'd have to be some sort of equivalency so one group isnt taking 25mg of zoloft and the other vaped dmt
its partially interesting to see how the cognitive deficits caused by each drug compare to one another, but its also interesting to compare subtest scores in a certain group to see what happens, for example group H might retain a normal patterns score but reduced vocabulary. then this can be correlated with MRI findings with the people under the influence.

Are you re... from the 50's?
Y'know, I think this kinda how drug study works, y'know. Like literally. -
2017-03-05 at 12:52 AM UTCOr do you want to have them compete?
-
2017-03-05 at 12:53 AM UTCOn an island. Think about it.
-
2017-03-05 at 12:54 AM UTCyeah but instead of having to research 40 articles to find this information it would be good to have all of this information presented at once within it's bachelor/reality/game show TV. you better believe we're gonna figure out a way to throw romance into this. also they're all be locked in an elaborate maze dungeon where the doors only unlock when you solve the IQ pussle or u die from dehydration. this could definitely have a video game offshoot of the series.
