The fair price of labor.
-
2020-08-09 at 2:45 PM UTCThe fairness is not determined by how you set the price but how willing the person is to pay that price.

2020-08-09 at 3:45 PM UTCIf a person is a collecting addict willing to pay millions of dollars for a collectible scooby doo lunch box that only you possess, is it fair to charge them a lot of money if they are willing to pay anything for it? I think so.

surely there must be something better that we can use to set wages other than supply and demand. it is within our moral obligation to do so.
Pretty simple. Minimum wage laws were set so that mexicans and niggers couldn't drive down the price of white labour. Actually, I mean idiots. I'm not racist. Idiots are willing to work for less than the value of their labour, and as such drive said value down.
Where I live, minimum wage is now 14$C an hour. Trades fresh out of high school pay 18-20$C an hour. Minimum wage really only applies to teenagers, fast food, walmart, etc. Compared to the states however, that's bad with the current dollar rate.
Norway technically doesn't have a minimum wage. This is so they can pay peanuts to the Polish and Lithuanian strawberry pickers. Expected wage fresh out of high school is 20$US an hour for stuff like gas station clerks. -

Different ways of measuring octane. 91 octane in US/Canada is roughly 97 octane in Europe. So your 95 would be like US 89 octane. Same stuff.
For Europe 97 octane/US 91 octane, the price is around 6USD a gallon in most of Europe atm. Taxes are bad. -

I pay $2.80 or so for 91. But the again the guy who works there is probably doesn't earn more than $10/hour. High taxes are just one part of your fuel costs. -

That's… So nonsensical I don't even know where to start.
Actually people should be paid per percepted hour, so if you are bored and an 8 hour day felt like 24 hours, you would be paid for that and if you are having fun at work, youll be encouraged to work a more demanding job.
my idea is genius. -

So open a business, hire some people, pay them that way, and get back to me.
