Yay or gay? I usually wear my collar flat but was a little chilly walking home tonight so I turned the collar on my jacket up so the wind wouldn't be on my neck, forgot about it, and when I looked in a mirror I was like "oh yeah" and thought it actually looked bretty good and surprisingly non-douchey (maybe a result of being a jacket as opposed to a polo or w/e). Kinda had a max stirner vibe going.
Anyway, what do you think about upturned collars? Sometimes? Always? Never?

I personally don't but if you feel cool doing then more power to you. I used to work at a fraternity in the kitchen several years back and boy did I see a lot of collar poppin wearing fuckers. People like to label people like that as douchey just because they aren't as successful, but really they were a bunch of cool guys for the most part.
Next time I wear my black polo shirt I will try poppin it to see how I feel

Hmm, I don't wear collars enough to really think about it. I usually wear plain colored tees because I'm thug nigga noiamsayinbrah? But I don't think I could pull it off. Lanny has this tim heidecker vibe where he could dress totally gay and still look acceptable so idk, do it if you want.

Don't pop any collars you aren't willing to lose

I've never liked the look of popped up collars. I think they look ridiculous no matter who's wearing them.

Popped collars are not collars but turtle necks.

If I pop my collar my girlfriends toddler son pulls it back down. Same as if I flex my chain outside my shirt he tucks it back in or strips it off my neck, puts it around his, then throws it as far away from my reach as possible. I take my fashion tips from him and he says no damn poppage of collars

Popped collars were big in the early 80s, and they haven’t been since then, till now.
I think Miami Vice did it.
Popped collars, big hair, oh yeah just don’t care.

It could lend an air of mystique, or it could come across as shady, or it could pass as debonair. It all depends on the head that goes in it. Like the facial features, the size of the head, the haircut, the jaw line, etc. For example, if you are popping collars and you have a small head, that could be a big problem.
