It's well known and extensively used. Using this technique anything is provable.

Does this apply to all articles with citations or just the ones that prove your opinions wrong?

    False dichotomy.

    Citations should be informative.

Twenty Ibid references to a paper that no one ever read or heard of before is not informative. Especially when used with language like "someone has already proved"...

Speaking of which, where is the relevant piece of reference 54 for me?

The article is an in depth explation of an opinion I have long held and expessed better than I could ever hope to. But then I actually read the whole thing.

Did I say I read the citations? Don't pretend like you've read even half of it. Either do like the thread calls for and tell us what part you disagree with or make a thread.

    But from your OP:

But as Adam D. Thierer recently proved, there is nothing at all "natural" about the telephone monopoly enjoyed by AT&T for so many decades; it was purely a creation of government intervention."54

I just want to know how this amazing jedi proved his point.

It seems like the argument in your OP relies upon the arguments of a great many academics, mostly jedi. I am currently researching jedi genius and achievement, as well as the benefits of libertarian economics, and hope you can help me.

So in other words you have no way to back up your disagreement other than to say "it seems to me". Thanks so much for that valuable contribution.

Just throw me the relevant parts that citation #54 relies on.

If copying and pasting is too much trouble just summarise for me.

    OK then.

In answer to your OP, I don't agree with the citations, for example citation #54.
