You find that island I mentioned earlier as homebase and use the yacht for travel/discovery/collecting resources etc.
The trouble with a bunker is you are stuck with it...no chance of finding better. -

Right...because when the end of the world comes I'd be more concerned in making sure the fuel tank on my moored boat was empty rather than getting out of dodge with my family...assuming I'd actually survived the 'end of the world" event.

You could go to home depot or the boat store and kit it out as you wanted...again near everyone else is dead anyway. All the solar panels and canned food you'd need. -

Big ships use heavy fuel oil, which won't burn in a normal engine. And in the containers all you will find is dildos from china. -

Well again there are literally thousands of abandoned ships/boats etc all over the world you can siphon the appropriate fuel from.
If you couldn't find solar panels you can generate power very easily using an alternator and the power of wind and water...alternators again would be all over the place, abandoned boats and vehicles that were right by the coast. Anyone with even basic survival skills already knows this.
How would you generate/power your bunker to play your video games all day btw if you couldn't leave it?? -
