Do things actually ever get better?

All this shit we are dealing with present day is just extra layers to this great big shit cake called "My Memory of Things" where as early as I could remember there was some sorta really stupid fucking shit going on followed by more shit and more shit.
If shit wasn't hitting the fan directly over your head you was in school learning about how shit volcanoes have exploded in history class.
For honest reals tho I been watching beheading videos on the internet for 20 years now and have definitely seen more of those than I have pornos.
So while yet it's nice to fantasy about fucking a buffet of pussy, I know its much more likely for me to have my head sawed off by a pocket knife in the hands of some tik-toking terrorists.

I'm pretty sure now that when people say "It will get better (eventually)" that it is just sarcasm and hasn't happened not even once.

My life is way better than it was 10 years ago. Even 5 years ago.

Still problems, but things have improved.

Dunno what else to tell you!

    - Stable relationship with a good woman
    - Don't take any drugs anymore
    - Stopped being a socialist (that totally prevents you from operating in the real world and understanding business/money)
    - Ceased contact with some 'friends' I used to have

Still definitely not where I want to be, and still too lazy sometimes, but much better rly.

You sound a lot like me. Unfortunately the career path I've taken has become a lot more unstable than it was ten years ago when I got into it. And I think that has contributed to me becoming more left leaning politically than I was 5 years ago.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that has seen more execution videos online than porn. I don't watch that kind of stuff anymore but around the early 2000s til about the time I found totse I watched a lot of messed up stuff. It's always been like a rollercoaster for me, life will seem alright for a bit then something shitty happens. The past few years have really been tough and I'm doing alright now,my biggest struggle is against my own thoughts. And I don't do heroin, benzos and I very rarely drink anymore so I have to get used to having more mental clarity which is hard for me to handle. I know most of my problems were caused by my own bad choices and I'm working on changing the way I am used to handling problems. As far as the world in general getting better I guess we'll see. I sure hope it does.

I bet you could tell me a bunch of shit about working for teh man, and I'd agree with all of it.

Yes moneys only exist to make money. No the company is not there for you. Yes it will discard you as soon as it doesn't need you. No there's no such thing as job security.

But I took all of that, and instead of getting angry at it, I accepted it. And there was a flip side. I'm only there to make money. No I don't give a fuck about the place. Yes I will discard it as soon as something better comes along. No there's no such thing as loyalty.

So yeah, look at shit that way. If the working world is shit for you, make it your goal to either make yourself attractive to other employers, or go into business for yourself. I wish I'd taken the plunge on self employment years ago tbh. I'm already earning slightly more, even though my rates are objectively pretty shit right now for my field.

You're not wrong, that's exactly what the business world is. I just hate it. I don't have interest in self employment because it would make me miserable. I am attractive to employers, or at least I am constantly told what a great worker I am and that I produce quality work... but that hasn't seemed to have mattered very much in long term.

I wouldn't mind assembling robots. Really going to try to get into that.
