My 14" color CRT monitor finally gave out after 30 years. Poor thing couldn't take the 120 degree heat and 100% humidity. Made this crackling sound, like a paper bag being crinkled, there was a momentary smell of ozone, and then it just went completely dead. Tried to revive it, but the damage is too extensive.

Where in Canada was it 120 degrees? Or did you just put it in a pot of water heated to that temperature? I mean underwater is 100% humidity.
