You know the tale of the Nazi book burning right? It's relevant and i'll tell you why. They didn't burn just any old books, that was the spin. What happened was they went into a school for 'sexology' or whatever we're supposed to call it. And they burned all the materials there, because they thought this shit was degenerate.
